According to reports, Apple has started cutting down on non-seasonal employees at retail stores outside of Apple Stores like Best Buy stores.

However, it was made clear that they will still hire seasonal workers to respond to a boost in consumer demand.
It wasn’t clear what percentage of the retail workforce will be affected by the layoffs though. Additionally, the exact reason for this is unclear but it is speculated to be related to the ongoing economic challenges. This comes as a surprise because the company is known for its culture of retaining its employees.
Other tech companies have also announced layoffs to their workforce including Microsoft, Google, and Amazon this year alone and Facebook’s parent company, Meta last year.
