The next Snapdragon Summit event will be happening this November and Qualcomm are expected to reveal the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The chip is said to boast the latest ARMv9 core technology.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Rumored Specs
In addition to the previous leaks, reliable tipster Ice Universe added more details of the alleged specs of the S8G2 SoC.
These alleged specs of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 include the following:
- 2x ARM Cortex-A715 cores with 2.8GHz clock speed
- Cortex-X3 with a max clock speed of 3.2GHz
- ARM Cortex-A710 with 2.8GHz clock speed
- ARM Cortex-A510 with 2 GHz clock speed
- Adreno 740 GPU
Moreover, other leaks have mentioned that an ultra-high frequency variant of the Gen 2 chipset will also come out. It is said to boast a clock speed of 3.4GHz and 3.5GHz.
For now, we can only wait for more details in the following weeks. We can also expect some competition as the launch comes closer. The rumored competitors are Samsung’s Exynos 2300 and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9100 or 10000.
The launch event will happen on Nov 15 to 17 in Hawaii. More details will surely be available by then to confirm all the alleged specs mentioned previously.
