After Apple delayed the release of iPadOS 16 due to the newly introduced Stage Manager feature, the company recently announced that the latest iPadOS version will be rolled out on October 24.
The newly announced iPad and iPad Pro (M2) will ship with the new iPadOS version, unsurprisingly. The update will be available for:
- iPad (5th generation and later)
- iPad mini (5th generation and later)
- iPad Air (3rd generation and later)
- all iPad Pro models
The October 24 release refers to iPadOS 16 only but it is speculated that iPadOS 16.1 and iOS 16.1 could also join the release for synchronization of both operating systems. Either way, the wait isn’t too long before we see which versions will be rolled out.
