The South Korea-based basketball team, Changwon LG Sakers visited the Philippines for a series of tune-up games against local PBA and UAAP teams. The team is based in Changwon with LG Electronics as its major sponsor.
Justin Gutang, one of the collegiate standouts from De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde, also recently joined the team. He talked to the media about his experience in the Korean Basketball League saying, “It has been amazing so far, it’s a blessing.”
Lee Gwan Hee, a former player for the Phoenix Fuel Masters, was happy to be back in the country as well, “I think both our PBA and KBL (experience) made it possible to level up in our playing field.”
In a meet and greet event at The Arena at Kerry Sports, BGC, LG Philippines Managing Director, Mr. Sungjae Kim and LG Philippines Product Director Changsoo Jang met with the team and gave the players LG Puricare Wearable Air Purifiers to use while they’re in the country.
“We can’t wait to see more of these events in the future. Aside from honing their skills on the court, each team also gets exposed to different cultures,” said Mr. Sungjae Kim about the visit.
Ram found his love and appreciation for writing in 2015 having started in the gaming and esports sphere for GG Network. He would then transition to focus more on the world of tech which has also began his journey into learning more about this world. That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
