ASUS has just announced the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED (UX9702) at the IFA 2022 exhibition. The new laptop is the world’s first 17.3-inch foldable OLED laptop. Along with it, the company introduced the new Zenbook Pro 14 Duo (UX4802), Zenbook S 13 Flip OLED (UP5302), and Vivobook 16X OLED (N76010).
Zenbook 17 Fold OLED
The Zenbook 17 Fold OLED comes with a full-size ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard and touchpad that increases versatility. These allow use in Desktop mode, Laptop mode (with Bluetooth keyboard), Laptop mode (with virtual keyboard), Tablet mode, Reader mode, or Extended mode. In each mode, the window management tools like Mode Switcher in the Screen Xpert 3 app allow multiple split-display configurations and flexible app layouts.
As the name suggests, the new laptop has a 17.3-inch 2.5K foldable OLED (FOLED) touchscreen panel with support for Dolby Vision and is HDR-certified. Additionally, it is PANTONE Validated, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and TÜV Rheinland certified.
It has a powerful Harman Kardon-certified quad-speaker Dolby Atmos audio system. The Zenbook 17 Fold OLED also has a MIL-STD-810H US military certification and the 180° hinge underwent over 30,000 open-and-close cycles.
To add to all the certifications, the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is Intel Evo-certified and equipped with an Intel Core i7-1250U processor, Intel Iris Xe graphics, 16GB RAM, and a 1TB PCIe SSD. The laptop also has a 75Wh battery with USB-C EasyCharge and is bundled with a 65W fast charge adapter.
Moreover, the laptop includes a Bluetooth version of the ErgoSense keyboard and touchpad. It also has an HDR IR camera that works with ASUS Adaptive Lock and a 5MP AI webcam with ASUS 3D Noise Reduction (3DNR) technology.

The Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED (UX8402) was also introduced with a flagship 12th Gen Intel Core CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU. These are cooled by ASUS Ice Cool Plus technology coupled by the AAS Ultra mechanism. The latter tilts the next-generation ScreenPad Plus secondary touchscreen and is the same on the Zenbook Pro 16X OLED.
The Zenbook S 13 Flip OLED (UP5302), on the other hand, is an ultra-lightweight 13.3-inch convertible laptop with a versatile 360° ErgoLift hinge. The laptop is crafted from premium magnesium-aluminum alloy and weighs just 1.1kg and is 14.9mm thin. Under the hood, it has a 12th Gen Intel Core processor.
Lastly, the Vivobook Pro 16X OLED (N7601) is powered by up to a 12th Gen Intel Core H-series processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti laptop GPU with IceCool technology. It also features the ASUS DialPad and a full set of high-speed I/O ports with a microSD Express 7.1 card reader and Thunderbolt 4.
