ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has officially launched two high-end gaming laptops – Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition (SE) and the Flow X16. The two laptops were initially unveiled in May at the Those Who Dare: Boundless virtual event.
Both models will be available in the Philippines this September 2022 at official ASUS and ROG PH Concept Stores and select multi-brand retailers nationwide.
Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition – Peerless Performance
The new Strix SCAR 17 Special Edition(SE) is the most powerful laptop offered by the brand for 2022 so far.
Features the Intel Core i9-12950HX, a powerful 65W laptop CPU only exclusive to the Strix SCAR 17 SE itself. Paired with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti with a maximum TGP of up to 175W with Dynamic Boost, and enhanced by a MUX switch, this no-holds-barred battle station undoubtedly pushes all limits of portable gaming.
In addition, it sports a 17” WQHD 240HZ refresh rate monitor with adaptive sync and Dolby Vision alongside cyberpunk-inspired aesthetics.

Flow X16 – Versatile and Powerful
The Flow X16 is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 GPU with MUX Switch. These are paired with a 16” QHD 165 Hz Mini LED HDR display with 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and up to 1100 nits of peak brightness.
It features both portability and versatility thanks to its 360-degree hinge, which allows gamers to use it as a traditional clamshell laptop, utilize tent mode for better airflow with an external keyboard or gamepad, and even tablet mode to make use of its touchscreen in social media apps and games.
