vivo introduced its Turbo-packed devices namely the vivo T1 5G and T1x in late May. The new T-series is built for turbo-driven performance.

Among the highlights of the vivo T1 5G include a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 5G. These coupled with the 4700mAh battery and 66W Flash Charge offered quite an enjoyable gaming experience and more.

We’ve covered our overall experience with the device in our first impression article and our full review article.

In this one, we’ll share four games we tested on their respective max settings on the vivo T1 5G.

We did our best to diversify the games as far as genres went as we could as well as choose free games that could push the device a bit. Therefore, we narrowed it down to Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds, Asphalt 9, Apex Legends, and Genshin Impact.

Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds

First on the list is the Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds which is one of the newer games on this list. The mix of the number of players on one map at one given time and the number of monsters make it quite a good test of phone performance.

To even further the test, we chose Very High graphic settings and 50 frame rate. These are pretty much as high as it gets.

In the quietest areas of the world, the surroundings were such a joy to watch as you sped around your mount going to your quest areas. We went through just some dropped frames as we made our way through the big areas with a lot of monsters and players like the Coastal Plaza.

Aside from that though, it was pretty smooth sailing even with all the Engineer spells going through my screen.

There was also a minimal increase in temperature but this is after about an hour of leaving my character to auto-kill all the enemies and run around the world.

Asphalt 9

Next on the list is also the oldest game on this list and our go-to racing game, Asphalt 9.

Despite being the oldest game on this list though, it is the only one that supports the 4D Game Vibration. This isn’t something we’re used to and was initially surprised, but it definitely added more immersion to the races.

As far as graphic settings go, there are only Default and High Quality. We, of course, opted for High Quality and it was quite the joy to play.

Not only were there no hiccups throughout the different races we played, but we also got to enjoy the streets of the places we were racing in. In addition, the AMOLED panel just made the world pop. We won’t say no to that.

Apex Legends

We thought we needed a shooter title on the list and we opted for one of the newer shooter titles on mobile, Apex Legends.

The popular battle royale that was ported to mobile from PC and on initial launching the mobile version, it recommends running at Normal graphics and High Frame rate. However, we wanted to see how much of the games we can enjoy on the device. This is why we just went straight for ExtremeHD graphics and Ultra Frame rate.

Thanks to the in-game FPS Display feature of the game, we were able to see that even on max settings on both graphics and FPS, we still enjoyed 60 FPS. This offered a smooth experience while going around and looting and shooting other players on the maps.

The only hiccup we came across was upon leaving the plane while dropping into the world, which makes a lot of sense.

Is maxing out totally necessary, probably not. But it’s good to know that if you want to experience the battle royale in all its glory, you can do so albeit with some warming up over time.

Genshin Impact

Last on the list is Genshin Impact, one of the toughest games to run to date. By default, it is set at Low graphics but we were surprised to find out that the vivo T1 5G was able to handle the game with Highest setting and at 60 FPS.

According to the Ultra Game Mode sidebar, the game ran using 91% max CPU usage and 99% max GPU usage with the maxed-out settings on Performance mode. Meanwhile, in Balance mode with the same settings, the device clocked in at 91% max CPU and 94% max GPU usage. This isn’t quite recommended but it is just impressive, to say the least.

Aside from the heating and a couple of dropped frames here and there, playing it in max settings wasn’t too bad. It just allows you to enjoy the world of Teyvat in all its glory.

You can definitely lower it to Medium or even High but the graphics in Highest coupled with the AMOLED display was just too good to pass.

Well, that’s it for the four games we enjoyed on the vivo T1 5G. Overall, we were pretty impressed with its performance especially since it’s a mid-range device priced at PHP 16,999.

The device comes in Turbo Black and Turbo Cyan color options. If you’re interested in getting the device, check out the official Shopee and Lazada stores.
