vivo has announced that it will unveil its first foldable device, the vivo X Fold on April 11. Ahead of the launch, marketing materials for the device surfaced revealing its specs.
The materials confirm an 8-inch “2K” internal display with a 120Hz refresh rate and LTPO 3.0 technology. Meanwhile, on the outside, it has a 6.53-inch FHD+ with a 120Hz refresh rate.

As far as optics go, it has a 50MP Samsung GN5 main camera with OIS, a 48MP ultra-wide camera with 114-degree FoV, a 12MP portrait lens, and a 60x OIS periscope lens. The camera setup has the Zeiss branding and T* coating.
The vivo X Fold is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 coupled featuring LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It is equipped with a 4600mAh battery with support for 66W vivo FlashCharge and 50W wireless charging.
The hinge of vivo’s first foldable device is certified to work for 300,000 folds/unfolds by TUV Rheinland.
It is uncertain whether or not the device will make it out of China. But with the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold and OPPO Find N staying in China, we won’t get our hopes up.
