Formula 1 Announces Partnership with Lenovo to Bring Cutting-edge Technology to Operations

Formula 1 announced that Lenovo is now an official partner ahead of the 2022 season. The multi-year deal will see Lenovo’s cutting-edge technology used across the operations of Formula 1.

The two brands want to push the boundaries of what is possible when combining sports and advanced technology.

It plans to leverage Lenovo’s wide selection of hardware and innovative technology like augmented and virtual reality to connect fans with the sport in new and engaging ways.

Over the next few years, Lenovo’s technology will be used across the Formula 1 organization, both back at its base and at races. Lenovo hardware devices like High Performance Computing and server solutions will be integrated throughout the operations of the organization.

Earlier this year, F1 announced that it has extended its commitment to create employment and education opportunities for under represented groups. This is in the form of 10 engineering scholarships each year until 2025.

Moreover, Lenovo is focused on diversity and inclusion as well as removing barriers. Through the partnership, the two brands will work on projects related to these areas.
