Huawei kicked off the Mobile World Congress 2022 in Barcelona, Spain with the launch of the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022 and MateBook E laptops. The former is the company’s flagship notebook while the latter is a compact 2-in-1 laptop.
Huawei MateBook X Pro 2022
The MateBook X Pro 2022 is equipped with a 14.2-inch IPS LCD touchscreen panel with a 90Hz refresh rate. The display is said to offer 500 nits of brightness and offers 100% of the P3 color gamut. Meanwhile, at the top of the panel is an integrated HD webcam.
Under the hood, it boasts an 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor along with an integrated Intel Iris Xe GPU. These are coupled with 16GB LPDDR4x RAM and 1TB of M.2 NVMe SSD. To help keep the hardware cool, it features has three air intakes, dual shark fin fans, and a VC heat dissipation module.
As far as ports go, it has four USB-C ports with half being USB 3.2 as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack. It ships with a 90W GaN USB-C charger.
The lone variant is available for EUR 1,899.
Huawei MateBook E
The MateBook E, on the other hand, has a 12.6-inch OLED panel with an 8MP front camera and a 13MP rear snapper. It has a magnesium alloy frame and a textured glass back.
The 2-in-1 laptop comes with 11th generation Intel Core i3, i5, or i7 processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics. These come with 8/16 LPDDR4x RAM and 256/512GB PCIe NVMe SSDs.
It only comes with a single USB-C port though along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. As far as connectivity though, it supports WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.
The laptop is equipped with a 42Wh battery with support for 65W fast charging. It also features quad speakers and quad mics and supports the second-generation Huawei M-Pencil stylus.
