Aya Neo Next series are handheld consoles that are a good alternative for the Steam Deck by Valve. The console is powered by a Ryzen 7 5872U APU that has a Vega 8 GPU.
There are two available models, The Aya Neo Next is equipped with 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM while the Pro model comes with 32GB LPDDR4x RAM. The former comes with a 1TB and 2TB M.2 SSD storage option while the latter has only a 2TB configuration for storage.
Additionally, the handheld console has a 7-inch IPS touchscreen display with 1280 X 800 resolution. This is powered by a 47Wh battery that has support for up to 65W charging.
The handheld console only weighs 720grams. Input options are 2 USB type C ports and output for external displays. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor.
Furthermore, the Aya Neo Next series features Hall sensors for the joysticks and triggers. This offers low drift and long service life. The joystick cap can be replaced and it features force feedback integration.
Aya Neo Next has started an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign and has become successful. A unit is priced at around EUR 1,177 plus shipping costs and import duties. Just remember crowdfunding campaigns always come with a high financial risk.
