According to leakster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi will be the first smartphone maker to feature the upcoming 200MP sensor from Samsung.

Well-known leakster Ice Universe has also said that the 200MP sensor will have the smallest 0.64 µm pixels.

There have been reports mentioning that the sensor will have a 1/1.37-inch optical format, which if true, is smaller than the GN2 and puts it around the same size as the latest HM3 108MP sensor.

There were reports as well that mention that the ZTE Axon 30 will be the first to feature the new sensor. That may not be 100% accurate but it does mention that the new sensor is said to support 4-in-1 binning with a 50MP output resolution and effective pixel size of 1.28µm.

The 200MP is also expected to go higher than native 2x or 3x lossless digital zoom which could be the end of mid-range zoom cameras. The sensor has enough resolution to support 16K video but none of the chipsets available right now can support it. The highest video resolution supported right now is 8K at 60fps.

If the leaks are true, this is the second time for Xiaomi to feature the new sensors from Samsung. Xiaomi was also the first to feature the 108MP sensor on a smartphone.
