ASUS ROG Flow X13 and XG Mobile Launched in PH, Priced

First seen at CES 2021, ASUS Republic of Gamers has launched its ultraportable gaming solution in the Philippines – The ROG Flow X13 with the ROG XG Mobile, delivering versatility plus desktop-class gaming performance and connectivity on-demand.

ROG Flow X13’s chassis only weighs 1.3kg, measures 15.8mm thin, and features a textured exterior with a wave-like design that adds style while also providing a secure, fingerprint-resistant grip. Its integrated one-touch login feature also allows users to login with just a simple touch of a finger.

ROG Flow X13 boasts a Pantone-Validated 13.4-inch UHD WQUXGA (3840 x 2400) IPS screen with a 60Hz refresh rate, 116% sRGB coverage, and protected by scratch-resistant Gorilla Glass. It packs an AMD Ryzen 9 or Ryzen 7 processor along with up to 32GB of LPDDR4X-4266 RAM, and up to a 1TB M.2 2230 PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD.

It uses a liquid metal thermal compound to improve thermal transfer from the CPU to the heat pipes, reducing CPU temperatures by up to 10°C compared to standard thermal pastes. Thanks to its Dual Arc Flow fans, ROG Flow X13 can generate maximum airflow with minimal noise. Its fans can switch off completely when in Silent operating mode, allowing for silent cooling in light workloads.

Also made for productivity, the device’s 360° hinge allows users to convert it into different modes for different tasks. The standard laptop mode is for serious gaming and multitasking, while tablet mode lets you swipe through content or draw using a compatible active stylus like the ASUS Active Pen.

ROG XG Mobile

ROG is a pioneer in the field of external graphics, having introduced the very first eGPU dock, the XG Station, back in 2007. ROG XG Mobile presents a streamlined design and an innovative way to bring desktop-class gaming performance to the ultraportable form factor.

Weighing only 1kg and measuring just 29mm, the ROG XG Mobile is 6% the size of typical eGPUs despite featuring up to an RTX 3080 GPU.

ROG XG Mobile boasts efficient vapor chamber cooling that allows it to operate at ideal temperatures despite a small enclosure. The compact vapor chamber design increases contact surface area by 54% compared to heat pipes, maximizing thermal transfer to the heatsink fins for rapid dissipation.

The device connects directly to the CPU with a custom PCIe 3.0 x8 interface that’s faster than Thunderbolt 4, dedicating 63Gbps of bandwidth exclusively to graphics for significantly higher performance than eGPU alternatives. The USB link drives the XG Mobile’s multi-port hub, which has four USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, a full-sized SD card slot, a Gigabit Ethernet port, DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0a display outputs connect directly to the external GPU.

An integrated 280W power adapter supplies the ROG XG Mobile and laptop simultaneously, so users won’t have to carry a separate power brick.
