Fujifilm Corporation has just announced its latest cameras and lenses at the Fujifilm X-Summit 2021. These are the GFX100S and X-E4 mirrorless cameras and the GF80MM, X27MM F2 mark II, and XF 70-300MM lenses.
These cameras and lenses are scheduled to arrive in the Philippines in Q1 of 2021.
Fujifilm GFX100S
The GFX100S is the fourth large format mirrorless camera in the GFX system. It is pretty portable at just 900g with a 15 cm wide x 10.4 cm tall x 8.7 cm deep body. The camera offers up to 6-stops of five-axis in-body simage stabilization in addition to fast and accurate auto focus.
The GFX100S utilizes a quad-core X-Processor 4 CPU and utilizes 102MP large-format CMOS. It is capable of shooting 4K/30P video with shallow depth-of-field and high-ISO. The new camera supports both a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 17:9 ratio and supports the most commonly used compression codecs.
The camera also has a new Film Simulation mode which is reminiscent of American New Color Photography which emerged in the 1970s. This adds an amber tone to highlights for a softer look and boosts saturations to shadows, while preserving details.

Fujifilm X-E4
The X-E4, on the other hand, is the latest addition to the company’s X Series. It is lightweight and compact with the same 26.1MP, X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor, and 0.02 sec autofocus as that in the other professional X series cameras.
The X-E4 offers advanced Face and Eye Detection and a 180-degree tilting LCD touchscreen for ease of use. As far as videos go, it can shoot 4K/30p or FullHD/240p video making it quite versatile.

FUJINON GF80MM
The FUJINON GF80MM lens is the latest member in the G Mount lens series. It is also the first F1.7 interchangeable lens with Autofocus designed for a Large Format system.
The GF80MM features nine rounded diaphragm blades that can be stopped down to provide edge-to-edge sharpness or opened up for a bokeh effect. It is comprised of 12 lens elements in nine groups, including one aspherical element and two Super ED elements which makes it balance to control spherical aberration.
It has Face/Eye AF function which uses an advanced focusing algorithm to accurately acquire focus on a subject’s face or eye even when moving within the frame.

FUJINON XF 70-300MM
The FUJINON XF 70-300MM lens is an interchangeable zoom lens for the X series cameras. The lens features a fast linear motor for autofocus, up to 5.5 stops of optical image stabilization, and weather resistance.
With a focal length between 70mm and 300m, the lens makes a great choice for sports and subjects that are pretty far from the camera.
It weighs in at 580g with a length of 132.5mm and combines 17 elements in 12 groups including one aspeherical element and two ED elements.

FUJINON XF27MM F2 mark II
Lastly, the FUJINON X27MM F2 Mark II is a new interchangeable lens for the X Series digital cameras. The new lens is a thin, “pancake-style” prime lens with a 27mm focal length. It has a natural field-of-view that is close to what the human eye sees making it suitable for a diverse range of styles from everyday general use to portraiture, street, and landscape photography.
It features an aperture with an F-stop scale to adjust aperture settings without looking at the camera screen or through the viewfinder. The new lens is one of the thinnest and lightest XF lenses at just 62mm in diamater and 23 mm long and weighing in at around 84g.
