Earlier reports have surfaced suggesting that Qualcomm was granted a license to supply its chips to Huawei.
That was the rumor, until now. In a public statement, the chipmaker has confirmed that it has indeed acquired the license. The catch? it’s only for 4G-enabled chipsets, which also matches the reports.
While there’s no news as to when Qualcomm will be able to supply 5G chips to the brand, this is still one good step forward.
