Samsung Electronics has been named the best brand in Asia in 2020 for the ninth year in a row. This is according to results from the ‘Asia’s Top 1000 Brands’ annual survey conducted by Campaign Asia-Pacific in collaboration with Nielsen.
The ranking is based on consumer insights and presents a clear measure of the brands that are highly regarded – names who are “top of mind” in the region. It aggregates views from across 15 major product categories including automotive, retail, consumer electronics, and F&B.
Samsung is number one across five categories for 2020’s Top 1000 Brand’s survey – Brand with the best record on sustainability, strongest local brand, as well as the top brand in the mobile, TV’s, and smart home technology.
The study looks into consumer attitudes in 14 markets in Asia. For accurate representation through this study, the survey targets age, gender, and monthly household income in order to establish a balanced survey landscape.
Asia’s Top 1000 Brands aggregates data from an online survey created by Campaign Asia-Pacific and Nielsen. The survey was conducted between February 21 and March 19, 2020, and explores consumer attitudes in 14 markets:
- Hong Kong
- New Zealand
- The Philippines
- South Korea
Research relies on a total of 400 respondents for each market. In Japan, India, and China, participants number 800, 1200, and 2000 respectively. Survey quotas target age, gender, and monthly household income.
