Details about Huawei’s upcoming mid-range chip have surfaced, revealing a 7nm chip, and a more powerful GPU.
According to the leak, Kirin 820 is a 7nm processor with an upgraded NPU and ISP. It’s also allegedly the first from HiSilicon to use the Mali-G77 GPU which offers up to 30% improved efficiency and is 140% faster than the G76.
To put this into perspective, the Exynos 990 uses the same GPU. Of course, we may see a slightly less powerful variant as the 820 is a mid-range chip after all, but still, the upgrade is very much welcome.
