Sony has just announced the hardware that we can find inside the upcoming PlayStation 5. These will be what will be powering the console and the games that will come along with it.

The presentation was full detail on the technology behind the new generation console from Sony. It was presented by Lead System Architect of PS5, Mark Cerny. It was quite a technical presentation and actually lived up to being a deep dive into the PS5.

Because of its RDNA 2 architecture, unsurprisingly but also excitingly, the PlayStation 5 will utilize full Ray Tracing technology.

We’ve known for a while now that the PlayStation 5 will be backward compatible. It was again mentioned but all that was detailed at the livestream that the PlayStation 5 will have backward compatibility for most PlayStation 4 games.

It’s all exciting stuff from Sony especially if you’re into hardware and tech.
