Despite the Redmi K20 Pro (Mi 9T Pro) being out for just a few months, the company has already unveiled an upgrade to the very capable device – the Redmi K20 Pro Premium.
The biggest change in the Premium version is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset compared to the Snapdragon 855 of the regular K20 Pro. The Snapdragon 855+ offers 15% better performance in the GPU department.
Along with the SoC upgrade, the K20 Pro also has variant with 12GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The phone will run on MIUI 11 out of the box and offers a refined cooling system for better thermal management.
It shares the same 6.39-inch AMOLED display and a 20MP pop-up camera. The back houses three cameras headlined by a 48MP primary shooter coupled with an 8MP telephoto and a 13MP ultra wide sensor. It has a 4000mAh battery and supports 27W fast charging.
The Redmi K20 Pro Premium starts at CNY 2,699 (PhP19,794.66) for the 8GB/128GB configuration, the 8GB/512GB model is available for CNY 2,999 (PhP21,995.18) and the top of the line 12GB/512GB variant is priced at CNY 3,199 (PhP23,462.01). The upgraded device will be available for purchase starting September 23.
