With its aim of delivering an up-to-date user experience to its customers, HONOR has announced that a number of its products will be receiving the much-awaited update to EMUI 9.1 this August – The HONOR 8X, HONOR 9, HONOR 10, HONOR 10 Lite, and HONOR Play. All are set for new performance-enhancing features, interface enhancements, and AI-assisted features.
EMUI 9.1 brings GPU Turbo 3.0, which gives the device a much needed bump in graphics performance in compatible games, all while also reducing its power consumption. With the update, gamers can enjoy 25 of the most popular games at an astonishing level of quality, including Mobile Legends, PUBG, ROS, Fortnite, and more.
All HONOR devices will also benefit from the new Extendable Read-Only File System (EROFS) that’s included in the update – A feature that increases the start-up speed of HONOR phones by up to 10% and boosts random read performance by up to 20%.
Apart from aesthetic refinements, EMUI 9.1 also brings AI vlog editing, which extracts the presets, special effects, and even the background music from previous frames to make editing easier, and the AR Measure app that captures the volume, length, and area of objects with just a touch of a button.
Perhaps the most visible of all the changes are the sleek wallpaper options, and the improved look on the icons, adding to that liveliness, and an engaging user experience.
