Yesterday, Canon Marketing Philippines Inc. (CMPI) unveiled its newest full-frame mirrorless camera that’s set to raise the bar for optical excellence, and bring the full-frame option to more consumers. They also launched the PV-123 Mini Photo Printer that can print good quality photos without using any ink.
At 485 grams, the EOS RP the lightest model in the entire EOS full-frame series. It’s equipped with the RF lens mount that has a short flange focal distance of 20mm, the new DIGIC 8 image processor with Dual Pixel CMOS AF, and improved ergonomics for ease of use.
It’s equipped with a 24.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor, and has a native ISO Range of 100 – 40,000 that can be expanded to 50-102,400. It’s also capable of shooting 4K videos at 24p/25p. It also features lighting-fast autofocus at 0.05 seconds, and Servo AF mode support, which makes focus tracking for moving subjects more accurate.
One of the EOS RP’s most defining feature focus bracketing, which is useful for situations with a shallow depth of field effect. It basically involves taking a series of photos and stitching them into one single high-resolution image with superb clarity.
Taking shots from high or low angles are now easier, thanks to a 3.0-inch Vari-angle touchscreen LCD. You can also take care of those hard to see subjects using the EOS RP’s autofocus, which can operate at EV-5 (near total darkness).
