AMD has announced that it will be supplying Cyzone’s newest I-cafe in Vietnam with Ryzen CPUs, giving Cyzone best price/performance and long term platform stability, and further strengthening Cyzone’s position as one of the leaders in the Vietnam I-Café market.
Cyzone has a long history in the PC market in Vietnam with the company being set up in 2004. They have 2 i-cafes with over 800 PCs currently, including the Dang Van Ngu branch and the brand new Vo Thi Sau branch which is being equipped with AMD’s latest Ryzen 3 and Ryzen 5 CPUs that were launched to great success in 2017. Cyzone are actively involved in the gaming community and were recently crowned Vietnam champions at the Overwatch SEA Tournament and went on to represent their country at the group stage of the World Cup 2017 Overwatch tournament in Sydney, Australia.
AMD Ryzen CPUs were launched in 2017 and saw the return of AMD to the high performance CPU space. The revolutionary Zen architecture, developed over 4 years saw huge uplifts in performance of the AMD CPU core and large gains in efficiency. With the highly competitive AM4 platform offering stability and CPU upgradability until 2020, the Ryzen family of CPUs offer an ideal solution for I-cafes, system builders and those looking to build their own PCs. AMD’s Channel Sales Director for ASEAN, Mr Ryan Sim commented that “collaborating with partners is central to AMD and we are delighted to be working with Cyzone on this project to bring high performance computing to as many as possible”. He also expressed that there were ongoing plans to continue the resurgence of AMD and “improve the adoption of AMD Ryzen CPUs throughout the region”, with a range of partners in the PC industry.
The owner of Cyzone, Vu Thanh Cong, has a passion for IT hardware and has been a long time user of AMD processor, noting that “AMD always inspired us – the real IT component hardware enthusiasts”. Vu Thanh Cong considered many factors when choosing the platform to use in their brand new Vo Thi Sau branch with over 500 systems installed. However, after looking at the available options he concluded that “Ryzen is a very suitable choice meeting not only price/performance requirements, but also investment cost criteria”, with the advantage of platform stability giving the reassurance that “For the long term, there is upgrade possibilities at a competitive cost”.
Aside from the product performance and suitability for his I-café’s, Vu Thanh Cong was excited to see how the “Ryzen launch provided users reasonable choices and made the PC market excited again with renewed competition helping to accelerate performance/price/innovations. It brings a lot of benefits to the end user”.
AMD continues to support the gaming market in ASEAN and with Ryzen and Radeon products offering excellent solutions for many customers it expects that this growth will continue as more products are brought to market in 2018 and beyond.
