JBL today launched a new series of sports-centric headphones for athletes and other types of people who undergo fitness training who want to take their music with them on the go. It’s called the Reflect series, and among its models are the JBL Reflect Mini BT and JBL Reflect Aware. A third and fourth pair of headphones were also launched alongside these two, and they’re called the JBL Grip 100 and JBL Grip 200. All four of these headphone models are geared towards the sports-minded music lover.

JBL Reflect Mini BT

The JBL Reflect Mini BT is described as “a lightweight sports headphone designed for ultimate comfort and stability in fitness.” It offers pure JBL signature sound with wireless Bluetooth connectivity, and even comes with a three-button in-line mic for music and call control.

Other features of the Reflect Mini BT include 8 hours of non-stop audio playback and the ability to stay in place during intense training. It will be available in four colors — red, blue, teal, and black.

Meanwhile, there’s the JBL Reflect Aware, which is said to be the world’s first sport headphone that “gives athletes the ability to mix ambient sounds with active noise cancelling performance.”

What’s interesting about the Reflect Aware is that it doesn’t use a built-in battery to power its active noise cancelling feature. Instead, it relies on a wired connection to any Apple Lightning port — it’s iOS device only — and doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The JBL Reflect Aware also has its own companion JBL Ambient Aware app, and users can download it to access custom EQ settings and adjust the ambient noise level that goes through.

JBL Grip

Finally, also launched today are the JBL Grip 100 and JBL Grip 200. These headphones are two of a kind, created in collaboration with action sport athletes, extensive consumer testing, as well as support from Ben Ferguson, a professional snowboarder.

Both the JBL Grip 100 and JBL Grip 200 are designed to never fall out of your ears when they are in use, using so-called Twist-Lock technology on the FlexSoft eartips that provide a comfortable fit. Also, they can be recharged and can last up to 10 hours of nonstop music playback before running out of juice.

Other features include Cor Pinch, which allows one- or two-bud use when needed, and in-line music and call controls for the utmost in ease of use. Available colors are navy/orange, charcoal grey, and olive green.
