Firefly Mobile Intense 64 LTE is Now Available Nationwide

This is intense! Firefly shocked us this morning with their announcement that their flagship phone, Intense 64 LTE, is now available nationwide for a very affordable price of PhP7,999.

What’s so special about the Firefly Mobile Intense 64 LTE? It’s a powerhouse smartphone for people with limited budget. Based on the specifications provided by Firefly in their Facebook page, Intense 64 LTE is packed with an MT6732 64-bit, 1.5GHz, 4-Core ARMv8 Cortex A-53 processor. It is also pre-installed with a GPU similar to what’s inside the Galaxy Note 4, Mali-T760. It is power efficient and at the same deliver even the most graphics intensive games like the newly released Mortal Kombat X for Android and Implosion.

Running multiple instances of apps and games won’t be a problem as well with the Intense 64 LTE as it has 2GB RAM (800Mhz LPDDR3 RAM 6.4 GB/sec). Storage-wise, the device has an internal 16gb flash memory with pre-installed custom firmware which allows apps-to-microSD.

Intense 64 LTE is a strong contender to the other phones by local companies since it has a dual 4G-LTE (standard + micro) SIM capability. Currently, Redmi 2 holds the ‘most affordable dual LTE’ badge; but in our books, Firefly’s Intense 64 LTE brings more value to your money because of its raw specifications and capabilities.

In terms of screen size, Firefly’s 64 LTE boasts a 5.5″ HD IPS Plus OGS full lamination display, protected with a Dragontrail glass by Asahi. It also has a 7-color customizable notification LED.

The phone’s cameras are equally promising. It has 13mp f/2,2 BSI rear/main camera, which record videos up to 1080p; and an 8mp f/2.8 BSI camera manufactured by Samsung.

The phone ships with Kitkat installed, but Firefly promises to push Lollipop update via OTA in the future.
