Here’s something that you might want to take a look at come November 11. Cubix Cube 2 will be out, and if you’re looking for a phone with good specs and price, it may be the one you’re looking for.
For starters, the Cubix Cube 2 still runs on Android Kitkat, which may be a bummer for those who are after phones with Lollipop preinstalled. What ticks inside the device is a 1.7Ghz octa-core processor, Mali 450 MP GPU and a 2GB RAM. All these stuff are built into a Mediatek 6592
What made me interested about the Cubix Cube 2 is its screen-size as it has a 5.7-inch OGS IPS Full HD (342ppi) display. It’s big and supposedly good and pretty accurate at displaying colors and saturation. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
It has 16gb pre-installed internal memory, but may not be expanded as it does not have a memory expansion slot.
Its cameras are equally impressive as well: it’s 8mp front camera is manufactured by Panasonic, while its 16mp camera is manufactured by Sony. Both cameras have BSI support.
Price? Well, this is the most surprising part – it’s just PhP4,999. The trick here is that Cherry Mobile, Cubix’s mother company, will not be selling this on their retail shelves so the only way to get this is via Lazada.
