Xiaomi will be introducing its latest foldable, the Xiaomi 18 Fold, in China on September 7. Yes, just two days before the Apple launch, where it is expected to introduce the iPhone Ultra.
Ahead of Xiaomi’s September 7 launch, the company has already shared quite a few details, including its design.
Xiaomi 18 Fold – Design and Details
The Xiaomi 18 Fold is confirmed to be a wide-screen foldable with rounded edges. It will also have a horizontal, oval pill-shaped camera module around the top of the back panel. Additionally, it appears to have slim bezels.
Among the confirmed specs are a 5.38-inch cover screen and a 7.58-inch inner display. It also has an XRING O3 chipset that supports up to LPDDR6 memory, Xiaomi HyperOS 4.0, a 6000mAh battery, 67W wired fast charging, and 50w wireless fast charging.
The company has also revealed that the 18 Fold will have a Leica Summilux optical camera lens with a 20MP Leica main camera, 50MP ultrawide, and 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto.
The Xiaomi 18 Fold will be unveiled in China on September 7. We hope to hear about a global launch too, because we would love to have more wide foldable devices on the market.
