vivo is said to be working on the vivo X Flip foldable smartphone. What kind of cameras will they have? The most recent report on the new phone from leakster Digital Chat Station (DCS) provides all the essential details.

vivo X Flip leaks

For starters, The foldable dubbed – vivo X Flip will have a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC (the same as the X Fold+), 12GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. The phone will have a sizable cover display and a dual camera island above it, as reports have suggested.

According to DCS, such cameras will use a 50MP Sony IMX866 main sensor and a 12MP Sony IMX663 ultra-wide sensor. On the interior, there will be an additional camera and a punch hole in the center (resolution unknown). The back cameras will bear the Zeiss badge, just like past vivo flagships.

The internal display, according to prior claims, will have FHD+ resolution, the leaker adds and will be 6.8″ diagonally with a 120Hz refresh rate.

According to the picture, the aspect ratio will be thinner than the Moto Razr 2022, albeit probably not as much as the Galaxy Z Flip4. It might match the 6.8″ 1,080×2,520px (21:9) display on the Oppo Find N2 Flip.

According to reports, the X Flip has a 4,400mAh battery that supports 44W rapid charging. Only the Discover N2 Flip comes close to that size and speed for flips out there (quite close, 4,300mAh and 44W).

The phone will have a side-mounted fingerprint reader, according to DCS (likely built into the power button).

Next month, the vivo X Flip is anticipated to be introduced in China; teasers should start to circulate as early as this week.

Since there is currently not much competition for flip foldables, it is hoped that the event would contain details about a global launch. Also expected is a vivo X Fold 2 showcase (with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2).
