Google Teases Pixel 7 series, Pixel Watch, and Pixel Tablet at Google I/O 2022 Event

The Google I/O event has not been known for hardware but this year, the company introduced the Pixel 6a and Pixel Buds Pro. Additionally, it teased its upcoming devices namely the Pixel 7 series comprised of the 7 and 7 Pro, Pixel Watch, and Pixel Tablet.

The Pixel 7, 7 Pro, and Pixel Watch are confirmed to arrive later this Fall, while the Tablet will debut next year.

Pixel 7 series

Despite the introduction of the Pixel 6a, Google is ramping up to launch the Pixel 7 series.

Based on the teaser, they look to share the same visor design as their predecessors. The visor now looks to be made from polished aluminum as well that continues to the side of the frame.

Additionally, the teasers reveal three cameras on the Pro variant and two on the vanilla variant. The cameras have a bolder camera cutout as well.

The new devices will also be powered by the next generation of Google’s Tensor chipset.

Pixel Watch

Next is the expected device to launch at the I/O 2022 event, the Pixel Watch. It is the first smartwatch developed by Google from scratch. Its teasers confirm the design that was seen in various leaks.

The Watch has Fitbit integration. This means there will be Active Zone Minutes, stats, progress, continuous heart rate tracking, and sleep tracking.

Additionally, a new Google Home app is coming to Wear OS as well, making it easier to control your smart devices from your wrist.

Lastly, the Pixel Tablet which is said to be “designed to be a perfect companion to your Pixel phone”. It will be powered by a Google Tensor chip and feature a camera on the front and back.

The company also teases that it will be the most helpful tablet in the world.
