HMD Global has just released the Nokia G21 highlighting its long battery life and other slight improvements from its predecessor the G20.

The G21 features a 5,050mAh battery just like its predecessor but HMD improved its power-saving modes by making them less restrictive. The improvement made by the company allowed the phone to have two levels of power-saving, the first of which starts at 20% instead of the previous 10%. The second level then triggers after reaching 10% and further extends the battery life.

Furthermore, HMD also increased the phone’s charging speed to 18W but the phone only ships with a 10W adapter though so you will need to get your own one if you want to get this benefit.

The next major upgrade is the display that sports a 6.5-inch 90Hz 720p+ resolution screen which is a first for Nokia’s G series. You will have to activate the adaptive mode for the screen to get the full benefit of the 3-day battery life so the screen would return to 60Hz if you need to save battery.

Now we look at the camera setup. The Nokia G21 features a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 2MP depth sensor. The new phone did not include the 5MP ultrawide that was present in the older model. HMD has not yet provided any information about the lens aperture and sensor detail though.
