A decent gaming experience in the budget segment was once a far reach. But now, technology has evolved so much that the devices in this segment have caught up, and can make even demanding titles more than playable.

Such is the realme narzo 50A. Powered by an Helio G85 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 6,000mAh battery, this bad boy is made to deliver an enjoyable gaming experience without compromising battery life.

A Well-Balanced Display

While the narzo 50A’s 6.5-inch HD+ display may seem a bit off for a 2021 device, at the entry-level segment, the benefits that it offer cannot be taken lightly. Since the GPU has to push less pixels, not only do you get better performance, but also longer battery life, since less power is consumed compared to a higher resolution display.

As for the refresh rate, a lot of today’s popular games are still capped at 60fps anyway, so unless you’re playing a game which supports more than that, chances are you won’t even notice the difference. Yes, a high refresh rate display offers less input lag, which should give you that slight advantage, but at this price point? it’s less of a concern.

A Capable Processor

The Helio G85 that powers the narzo 50A can evidently handle most of today’s popular titles with no major issues. Depending on which games you play, you can even crank the settings way up, like in Mobile Legends.

For those who play more resource-intensive games like Genshin Impact, you can still game, though on low settings. But hey, that’s actually still good for a game that even mid-rangers tend to struggle with.

Excellent Battery Life

What’s the point of having good performance if you will have to run to the socket twice a day? the realme narzo 50A has been fitted with a 6,000mAh battery that scored more than 20 hours in PCMark’s Work 3.0 benchmark. That means you should get at least a full day of use with it, depending on your usage habits. It even supports 18W fast-charging.

While certainly far from perfect, the realme narzo 50A certainly has the makings of a great entry-level gaming phone, offering a good balance of performance and efficiency for an extremely attractive price tag. It will be available exclusively via Lazada at a discounted price of only PhP6,990 (from PhP7,990) on 11.11.
