Samsung has just unveiled the 2020 iteration of the Samsung Galaxy Book S. The updated edition is equipped with an Intel Lakefield chip which replaces last year’s Snapdragon 8cx Compute Platform.

The 2020 Samsung Galaxy Book S is the first device to feature Intel’s Hybrid Technology SoC. The processor is built with Intel’s Foveros 3D stacking technology for an even more efficient chip. This is pretty evident with it weighing lighter than its predecessor at just 950g and 11.8mm at its thickest point.

Its display is a 13.3-inch FHD TFT touch screen LCD Display. Even with slim bezels, the Book S still has a 1MP camera in the top bezel. The device boasts quad stereo speakers tuned by AKG as well.

Along with the Intel Lakefield chip is 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 256/512GB eUFS storage, expandable up to 1TB via a microSD slot.

Another major upgrade with the 2020 iteration is that it now features Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+). It empowers an efficient, speedy internet. The Book S also features LTE and Bluetooth 5.0, further improving your connectivity.

Microsoft’s Your Phone app also makes a return to the 2020 Galaxy Book S. The app allows a seamless experience between Windows and Android by syncing your mobile device.

That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
