While in the other corner, the Huawei P30 is a phone that has been out for a while but has impressed many upon its arrival, especially with its camera.

Both devices are currently only one sub-notch lower from the strongest of the strong devices from the two giants in the Android world. With this, we’d like to present how the two phones match-up on paper.

This will merely be a pure comparison of both phones’ specs. This won’t take analysis into the deep end, involve any hands-on experience on either device, and will be our personal preference.

Quick Points:

  • The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has a slightly bigger display size and has the ever so lovely AMOLED display compared to the FHD+ OLED of the Huawei P30
  • The Note 10 uses the Infinity-O display, which in a nutshell is a punch hole display. While the P30 uses a dewdrop notch. Aesthetically, this will be a preference thing. I personally prefer the punch hole display.
  • The Note 10 has more RAM than the P30 but it will take a lot to push a phone with 6GB RAM to the limit.
  • While the Note 10 has more internal storage, the P30 allows for expandable storage up to 512GB. Albeit using a nano-card.
  • Without taking into consideration the software that goes into processing the photos, P30 looks pretty solid in the camera department. Both in the front and the back.
  • Both devices run on Android 9, unsurprisingly. Like the notch used in the phone, this will all depend on preference, if it does matter. I personally prefer EMUI.
  • The P30 slightly leads in battery capacity.
  • The Note 10’s Ultrasonic fingerprint sensor has proven to be more reliable than the typical optical in-display fingerprint sensors.
  • The P30 keeps the 3.5mm audio jack, while the Note 10 has left it in the past. Again, to each his own, but this can still be a deal breaker for some.
  • The Note 10 has the S-Pen. Not much else to say about this but with each iteration of the unique feature of the Note, it has only been better and better.

Quick Verdict:

Get the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 if:

  • You want a slightly larger device
  • You want to do more multi-tasking
  • You are a fan of the S-Pen and its unique features

Get the Huawei P30 if:

  • You want a slightly larger battery life
  • You want better selfies
  • You want a 3.5mm headphone jack on your device

He would then transition to focus more on the world of tech which has also began his journey into learning more about this world. That said though, he still has the mentality of "as long as it works" for his personal gadgets.
