Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 Goes Official Ahead of Note 10 Launch!

Contrary to past trends, details of Samsung’s newest wearable. the Galaxy Watch Active 2, is already out ahead of the Note 10 launch event in New York City.

Available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, Galaxy Watch Active 2 sports 5ATM water resistance and an IP68 rating, which means you can basically take it for a swim without worry. It’s also MIL-STD-810G rated for durability, and equipped with a Super AMOLED display with 360px x 360px resolution. It’s loaded with a new version of Samsung’s OneUI that utlizes a virtual bezel for a more seamless look.

Galaxy Watch Active 2 can now read your hear rate faster, and now has an ECG feature. It can intelligently track up to 39 types of workouts, including their sub-categories.

To make it more personal, users will be able to match it with any standard 20mm band, and customize the watch face according to their outfit just by snapping a photo of their clothes using the My Style feature on the corresponding app.

The device utilizes a 1.2″ screen for the 40mm version, and 1.4″ for the 44mm variant. Under the hood is an Exynos 9110 along with 768MB or 1GB (LTE Version, Stainless Steel variant only) of RAM. It runs on Tizen OS, and can be used to listen to Spotify, and as a remote for your Galaxy S9, Note 9, or S10.

If you want your Galaxy Watch Active 2 in Aluminium, that will cost $280 for the 40mm variant, and $300 for the 44mm model. Pricing for the Stainless Steel version is still to be announced, and pre-orders will start on September.
