Sony Xperia XZ1 Launches in PH: Snapdragon 835 and Android Oreo

Sony announced a couple of new smartphones at this year’s IFA in Berlin. And now, one of them has finally arrived in the Philippine market, meet the Sony Xperia XZ1.

The Xperia XZ1 is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance, and sports an all new design with a familiar minimalist approach. It has a 5.2-inch Full HD display protected by Gorilla Glass 5.

Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor clocked at 2.35GHz, along with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of built-in storage with microSD card support.

For imaging, the Xperia XZ1 is equipped with Sony’s MotionEye Camera, composed of a 19MP sensor with Predictive Capture, which takes a picture  before you actually press the shutter button. Like the XZ Premium, the XZ1 can record both 4K and 960fps super slow motion videos. There’s also a 13MP front facing camera for your selfies.

Another notable feature of the XZ1 is 3D scanning mode, which allows the camera to scan an object and create an image for 3D printing and for sharing on social media. This makes it possible to create 3D avatars of yourself for games and other applications.

The Sony Xperia XZ1 is now available for pre-order at all Sony Concept Stores, and will be officially go on sale starting Oct. 13, 2017 at PhP39,990 for 12 months installment at 0% interest, and PhP35,990 for cash payments.
