According to a very reliable source, O+ is  scheduled to launch their latest Android phone, 8.15, during the opening of their concept store at SM North Edsa this Saturday (May 11). Teased last month by O+, the 8.15 comes with a Quad Core processor, 8MP rear facing camera,  1GB ram and 5″ IPS display. At 8.4mm thin, this will also be one of the quad core phones with a slim profile next to the Samsung Galaxy S4 (7.9mm) and Alcatel Scribe HD (8.5 mm). The handset is designed in the USA for O+. Oh, I just cannot wait to get my hands on this device.

I’m big fan of O+ as they continuously exercise innovation as evidenced by Air Shuffle featured in most of their Android smartphones. The build quality of their smartphones are very solid, almost similar to the material used by Samsung and Nokia. It’s also worth noting that their retail packaging also stands out, something akin to Alcatels’ and HTC’s.

O+ 8.15

This week, we are slated to release our review of the 8.52 and the 8.6. These phones can readily take on Samsung’s budget smartphones, Galaxy Fame and Galaxy S Duos respectively.

*Update: We have just confirmed from O+ that they will indeed launch the O+ 8.15 this Saturday, May 11.
