Raise your hand if your first phone was a Nokia!

More and more people are switching to Lumia! With the new line of Nokia Lumia products, people again are starting to show some love to Nokia. Thanks to the responsive, fast and engaging UI of Windows Phone 7.5 and 8.

Based on the responses from followers of Nokia regarding their switch to Lumia, 25% said that they did it because they love Nokia; almost 21% did it because of the phones’ design; 20% are bored of other smartphones and 20.5% because they love the software.

To stand out is also another reason why people choose Nokia Lumia (20%). With many smartphones in the market, having a state-of-the-art image technology and camera with Carl Zeiss Optics, SkyDrive storage, and Microsoft Office programs on your Nokia Lumia phone sets you apart from the others.

Other responses on the survey include the availability and accessibility of Nokia Care Centers (5.5%), and the exclusive apps for Nokia such as the People Hub, Nokia Drive and Nokia Maps (7.6%).

With these information gathered, it is no wonder people are joining the Nokia Lumia craze. The Nokia Survey replies came from over 41 countries but most came from the United States, India, United Kingdom, Canada and the Philippines.

The current Lumia range of smartphones include the Nokia Lumia 900, Nokia Lumia 800, Nokia Lumia
710 and Nokia Lumia 610.

I ditched Friendster for Facebook 5 years ago and I don’t have any regrets. Since then, I developed a love-hate relationship with Facebook but, without a doubt, somehow touched my total psyche and developed a new sense of disposition which I call “Social Media Disposition” (very original indeed).

Today, allow me to walk you through the different types of Social Media Dispositions I had and I’ve been in the last 5 years. theoatmeal.com made a pretty cool infographic to tell it all.

iPhone 4 in the Philippines

As you all know, the iPhone 4 is officially coming to the Philippines this September (according to a reliable source from Globe Telecom). Now that Jailbreaking is legal (at least in the states), and the possibility to jailbreak and eventually unlock the said device is going to be way way easier than before through Jailbreakme, sales of the iPhone 4 will truly skyrocket.

Some Filipinos are not actually alien anymore to the iPhone 4. In fact, there are already 40 (Philmug recorded) proud owners of the iPhone in the Philippines; and said the iDevice is now being sold (unofficially) in Greenhills. According to a member in Philmug, the iPhone 4 is sold at the following prices:

Unlocked:
16gb – 65 to 70
32gb – 75 to 85

At&t Locked:
16gb – 50 to 55
32gb – 55 to 65

Noticed the 15,000-20,000 difference? Does it really cost that much to unlock the device now that the latest Ultrasnow can already unlock your iPhone 4? If you still wish to become an early adopter (and not wait until September or October), I suggest that you grab yourself a Bumper to shield you from awe and despair brought about by the infamous “Death Grip”.

Given the steep price tag, I still predict that the Iphone 4 will have high sales volume. However, this prediction has to be founded by a reality check; therefore, a poll is included on the left sidebar and the bottom of this post. Will you really buy the iPhone 4? Hit comments too if you want!
