The “grand daddy” maker of portable speakers recently launched several new audio equipment that will definitely delight most, if not all, audiophiles in the Philippines. The event happened last August 15 at Q Bistro in Pasig City and was graced by Creative’s officers and media partners.
Creative has been the leader in the digital entertainment since it was founded in 1981 in Singapore. Driven by innovation, Creative brought technologies like Sound Blaster, Muvo, Nomad and Zen; and ever since, Creative’s products embody quality and excellence. This time, Creative has done it again by introducing several products:
- Airwave
- Airwave HD
- HITZ MA200
- HITZ MA350
- HITZ MA2300
- HITZ MA2400
- HITZ MA2600
These new devices take a cue from creative’s design philosophy: “With YOU in mind, we OBSERVE, then DESIGN.” This is a nod to the new demands and preference of the prevailing market – the Gen Ys and Millennials. Creative also believes that consumer entertainment are moving to smart devices and tablets.
Airwave and Airwave HD
Creative Airwave is one of the company’s response to the overwhelming demand for speakers with maximum compatibilities to NFC and Bluetooth connectivities.
These portable speakers are NFC and Bluetooth enabled. Both speakers, when paired to a smartphone, can be used to take and receive calls. With a feature like this, it’s ideal to station this speaker to your car and use it as an alternative handsfree speaker.
The Airwave Series feature high performance codecs for high quality Bluetooth audio playback; and particular to Airwave HD, it has integrated supercharged AMP, which make the speakers deliver high output, full range dynamics and playback with tube-like warmth and detail.
What’s even more interesting about this is its overall build and design. It’s 30-degrees front baffle tilt is responsible for firing sound directly at listening position. No wonder why it produced clear and audible audio detail when it was demoed during the event. It also has a vibration-free cabinet, which maximizes audio deliverance from the speaker drivers.
The Airwave comes in 3 vibrant colors – grey, pink, green and blue; while Airwave HD comes in 2 colors – red and dark grey. Creative did not speak much about the price of these 2 speakers, but we’re hoping that Airwave HD won’t cost more than PhP7,000 and non-HD around PhP5,000 mark.
Hitz Series
Other than speakers, Creative also launched slew of new headphones under the Hitz Series – 5 models to be exact. All headphones under this series are all mobile headsets, thus you can take and receive calls. All headphones (except the MA2300) feature volume controls, ready to pamper your listening experience.
I’m also personally happy with how Creative designed these headphones; and yes pastel colors look really nice on headphones.
The Hitz MA200 features noise isolation through its in-ear design. It also has gold-plated 3.5mm 4-pole plug. It comes in purple-black, red-black, green-white, red-white and pink-white; and with a nifty price tag of PhP1,499.
Creative Hitz MA200
Hitz MA350 is an ergonomic mobile headset for music and calls. Compared to the MA200, this one has better frequency response and with flat tangle-resistant cable. This headset comes in red-black, blue-black, red-white and green-white; and priced at PhP1,699.
Meanwhile, Hitz MA2300 features 30mm Neodymium drivers which enables it to deliver explosive bass. If you’re listening to Skrillex, then you better get this cans. The headphones also has plush earpads for extended music listening and voice calls. Unfortunately, this does not have volume controls. This comes in black-silver, white-silver, red-black and blue-black; and priced for only PhP1,699.
Hitz MA2400, can produce better bass compared to the MA2300 because of its 34mm Neodymium drivers; this ensures deep and awesome lows. If you love playing games on your mobile phones, then you better get this one. It has extra comfortable earpads and headband for extended listening sessions or voice calls. This headphone comes in black, white, red and green; and priced at PhP2,199.
And lastly, the big daddy – MA2600: the one that can deliver deep and punchy bass. It also has plush faux leather earpads and headband for long-lasting comfort during marathon listening or chat sessions. This also looks more premium than the MA2300 and MA2400. This only comes in black and white, and priced for only PhP2,899.
Creative indeed launched exciting lineup for the mobile generation. I, for one, am very excited to get myself an MA2600. If you’re looking for cans that are worthy every penny, then you better go get yourself either Hitz or Airwave.
