Is it just me or this nifty Gmail feature has been in existence since time immemorial?

I was sending an invitation to one of my godfathers. I hit the SEND button then, lo and behold, this windows popped up. I just wish that Microsoft Outlook 2010 and Lotus Notes adapt this feature. Totally genius, Google… totally genius! Hire me.
